As we look around we can not help but wonder in these troubled times if it is the end of days. Wallace Henley takes an intensive look into the Welsh Revival of 1904 giving us insight of what to expect in the last great revival before Jesus returning. I say for myself, I want to be ready for his arrival what about you? In reading every page I can not help but feel I am in a personal revival, which is necessary and life changing for all believers as we get energized as we allow the Holy Spirit to submerge us in his will and movement. It reminds me of the parable of the ten virgins found in Matthew 25 also to take each day seriously and be ready.
The Parable of the Ten Virgins 25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
And so it will be with us and our Lord!
This book to me is one more tool to get ready to be prepared for our Kings arrival.
We will learn:
I recently read Curt Landry's Reclaiming Our Forgotten Heritage. It is about how understanding the Jewish roots of Christianity can transform your faith.
This book dives deep into to the topic of heritage and how important it is in the life of a believer and to the kingdom of God. Specifically it points us to all believers in Jesus, our heritage that has throughout history been stripped from us. Curt proves through scripture the evidence of this history and the benefits of returning to our original heritage. When you truly understand taking hold of all God has for us for example in the divine appointments at the Holy days of God that history has stripped from the modern day Christian you will see and bless the heart of God on a whole new level experiencing more of his shalom and wholeness in your life.
The early church did not look like what today's church looks like. Even the modern calendar is not aligned to Gods original one. This book opened my eyes to so much and reaffirmed to me the importance of getting back to our original heritage and walking forward in all God has for me. I do not want to miss a thing with him!
If you are truly interested in finding out more about this heritage for yourself I highly recommend this book by Curt Landry!
Sid Roth, Host of "It's Supernatural," says...
"Is it possible to take New Testament and denude the Jewish culture and get a full revelation? Of course not. But many Christians go their whole lives without all the pieces of the puzzle. My friend, Curt Landry, shows how the identity theft took place and fills in the missing pieces. Fall in love with Jesus all over again."
This is a book that will remain a part of my library forever. I am on a mission to share with others the importance of it's message. Gods message to his people.
Jesus love transends lines and what we think love and generosity should be. This book ignites the heart of a true follower of Jesus to get down in the unknown forgetten heart of a broken person and love like he loves. With practical ideas to follow from real life stories, this book will help you go the next level.
Not only does this life changing book share how to practically help those hurting around us but it also helps you move forwar in those times of your own personal set backs by reminding us, "God's overall goal is our transformation. He loves each of us right where we are- but he loves us too much to let us stay that way. Nothing we do would make him love us more, and nothing we do would make him love us less." So it teaches to get up and keep moving forward in those times.
As long as a person has breath God has not given up on them even if they have given up on themselves. I love the example Rob Cowles and Matt Roberts show us on how to live in the love of Jesus without fear of those broken people hurting us or messing up our own lives. They do not live in the fear of "them" and nor should you as a true Christ follower. It is remarkable how once changed by love and relationsjip the loving examples in this book whose stories went from broken to victory , they turn around to help those in the hurting places, helping bring hope to those who can not yet see it, is simply remarkale.
Compassion true compassion is at the heart of Jesus and is at the heart of this book. Real realtionships not surface ones are at the heart of Jesus type compassion. I highly recommed reading it if you want a fire lit under you to go serve mankind in a new refreshing needed way!
This book was amazing. I took it everywhere and couldn't put it down! I recommened anyone who follows the Lord to read this book. I gauratee it will show you a new way of looking at the broken people of this world in a way you never had before.
